Our Philosophy
Dr. Lee believes that every patient should be treated like family and that caring for patients in oculofacial plastic surgery should blend compassion, respect, artistry, and evidence-based medicine. He sees his job as an educator and patient advocate—someone who can evaluate and educate patients on their condition, explain available options, and provide guidance toward making informed decisions and achieving the best outcomes.
From an aesthetic perspective, Dr. Lee believes in helping patients achieve natural-looking results and aims for a more youthful and refreshed appearance. He believes in minimizing risks while maximizing results. This often involves combining different modalities, such as surgery, botulinum toxin injections, fillers and/or fat injections, laser skin rejuvenation, and individualized skin care regimens.
What is Oculofacial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery?
Dr. Lee is a member of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery (ASOPRS) and a board-certified ophthalmologist by the American Board of Ophthalmology. ASOPRS members are dual trained as ophthalmology and plastic surgeons specializing in the delicate region around the eyes and face. Dr. Lee completed a two-year ASOPRS-accredited fellowship.
Many patients are confused due to the overlap in scope between the 4 core aesthetic specialties: oculofacial plastic and reconstructive surgery, facial plastic surgery (ENT), general plastic surgery, and dermatology. All of these specialties work on the face and overlap in terms of procedures performed. However, oculofacial plastic and reconstructive surgeons spend the most time working around the EYES and have the most experience and expertise on the upper eyelids, lower eyelids, brows, forehead, and mid-face region.
